Hi, my name is Jayde. I have always had a passion for animals since I was very young. I have worked in Pet shops, Vet clinics and, have previously run my own rat & mouse rescue which I received Young Achiever of the Year nomination for. I also bred and hand-raised a huge variety of birds back between 2014-2016 and did raise a couple birds last season although don't do that too often anymore.

 

I have various animal related qualifications such as my Cert II Veterinary Nursing, Animal Behaviour and Welfare Certificate, RSPCA animal first aid certificate and plan to complete more studies soon, as I like to keep my skills and knowledge current so I can provide better care to your pets. 

 

I have owned most animals including guinea pigs, birds, farm animals such as chickens, cows, ducks, goats etc. as well as turtles, rats, mice, fish, dogs, cats and more! At the moment we own 2 Pomeranians, 3 bantam chickens, 3 mice, 8 guppy fish & 3 guinea pigs.

I started providing bird services back in 2013 as people in the community started asking for someone with experience without having to go to the vet for a wing or nail clip. The bird services were only the start and I did end up expanding onto rat/mouse services, guinea pig services and more as I realized there was a high demand. Although I am not a vet and I do not provide Surgical Veterinary services, I can provide general basic health checks, give you advice and groom your animals. I also board certain small animals in my home for peace of mind while you're away.

Currently I am providing these services full time as I am able to be a stay at home mum to my 2.5 year old daughter who is also an animal lover just like me and my 4.5month old son! For regular updates feel free to join my Critter Cave Facebook group and follow us on social media.
