Our Setups
About
We have some awesome setups for our boarding animals! All our setups are indoors and in a home environment as we like all the pets that stay with us to feel like they never left home. We always receive complements on our setups and how clean we keep everything. Providing a clean, safe and happy environment for your small pets is important to us.
Piggies
Guinea Pig Cage Setups
We have a variety of bay style and C&C cages that we use for our boarding piggies. We use fleece bedding, ceramic bowls, water bottles or water bowls, igloos and a variety of toys.

Our piggies are fed premium Vetafarm Cavy Origins pellets, oaten chaff, grassy hay as well as fresh veggies daily that we change up weekly. So you know they will be in the best of care.

Generally our piggies are kept in the garage, with heating and cooling to ensure they are comfortable. All our fleece items and cages are cleaned and washed regularly. Our cleaning routine consists of daily spot cleaning, washing and disinfecting.

We keep males and females fully separated and do not mix guinea pigs from different owners. We try to keep male pig cages away from females as to not entice the males to fight.
Ratties
Rat Cage Setup
Our rat cage is near our bird area and is fully decked out with a variety of hammocks, toys, litter tray, bowls and feeding items. Our cage can fit up to 6 rats in each - at the moment we have 1 available for our boarders.

Our boarding rats get time out of their cage as our 4 year old absolutely loves ratties. She uses her bonding scarf and gives them plenty of treats.

We provide foraging activities for them such as shredded paper and pea fishing. I used to run a rat and mouse rescue so you can be sure your critters are in the best of hands
​
If your rats are old or unable to climb we can take out the ramps, ladders and high hammocks to ensure they are kept at a ground level. Or alternatively we can place them in one of our rainbow cages if they are available.
Birdies
Bird Cage Setups
Our bird room is located in the garage. They will have fresh air and natural light when we have the garage door open. Unfortunately only clipped or semi clipped birds will be able to come out of their cages as the ceiling is too high for flighted birds.

We clean our bird area daily and disinfect all stands and cages after every use to ensure no cross contamination.
​
Our boarding options includes the cage - so for smaller birds or single medium birds they will likely be placed in our rainbow cages. For medium birds in pairs or more then they will be placed in our white double bay cages.
Each cage will have perches, toys, feeders & bowls.
We give our birdies daily fruit and veg chop suited to your birds dietary needs. We only feed premium seeds, pellets and treats - not cheap brands as your birds are treated as our own and can only have the best!
